A bespoke cake is one where you have a say in the design, the flavours and all aspects of the cake. For example it provides you with the opportunity to personalise your cake in any way you would like too! It means your cake is the only one out there like it! Its not something that you can buy from a supermarket, it is truly bespoke and personalised to you, your event and meets all of your requirements.
I get asked a lot from people if I can make “this cake” with an image. Don’t get me wrong, this is a fab place to start, I ask clients to use resources such as google images and pinterest to send images over of deigns they like. This provides me with a more clearer picture of the clients expectations, design preferences and image for the cake. However, I do not copy cakes!
So what makes it bespoke?
A bespoke cake begins with the design. I work closely with my clients to gain a better understanding of what it is they actually want. We exchange images and discuss elements they like, allowing us to begin designing the personalised design.
Mixing and matching elements the client likes from different images allows us to begin creating the bespoke cake design. Focusing on colour pallets and changing these to suit the customers requirements and colour themes for the event.

Here is another bespoke cake made for my Nan and sisters birthdays in March. I wanted to create something which reflects both lovely ladies. Therefore you can imagine this was a little tough with them being of completely different generations with different hobbies and interests. After a lot of thought this is what I created! Nan loves her flowers and her garden which inspired the plant pot with beautiful hand piped buttercream roses. My sister loves Ferrero Rochers. A very personalised, bespoke cake perfect for both birthday girls and they were super happy with the result!
